Google is celebrating its cybersecurity month and to commemorate that it has launched an Advanced protection plan. In short, it is providing physical security to the mail account with the help of keys (USB look alike) and this is so far the safest bet. One needs to sign up for the program and will have to buy two keys. Why two? One for the backup, something similar to the two car keys one gets on buying a new car, to build up redundancy. Should you go for it? That you need to decide based on the understanding of your threat perception. My intuition tells me that we all will just have to, in the near future, but you can as of now wait and watch the success of such a measure before you decide to opt-in. I am posting the link above if you wish to know more about this initiative of Google from the horse’s mouth itself.
